The reason...' They are the Heart of Visual Art.'
If Heart won't function properly the body becomes sick. Sometimes it may die also. So, to make body healthy we have to keep heart in good condition. Same way visual artist has to understand ' Light, Color and Composition' to do his/her work efficiently.
Why are they so important in Visual Art ? How do they function?
First...it is Light. Light is abstract. We cannot see it, unlike other objects, for example...Sky, Water and Fire. We experience Light through Colors only. Newton proved it. If there is no light there is no visibility. That means no visuals. Without visual world where is the visual art?
So being a visual artist, we have to understand light and color...their properties, their functions and their application in Visual Art.
Only then we will be able to create our visual world artistically, whether it is a Painting, Interiors, Architecture, Fashion Design or Animation...whatever it is.
And,
What we see in our imaginative mind, we need to execute it physically. To execute that imagination beautifully, we require knowledge about Composition. Composition means... arranging the things artistically. This artistic arrangement is concerned with Space, Size, Line, Color, Value, Patterns,
Contrast, Variety and many more things. Learning all these makes you a Visual Artist.
MDCI will guide you to understand this great subject. With his knowledge on these subjects Magunta Dayakar will help you to learn ' Light, Color and Composition'. Once you learn, these your career in visual art will rise to great heights.

See the Red spot marked by a circle in picture no. 2. Degas used this little spot of red color to balance the Total picture.
This red spot was used as a Focal point by degas.
See the picture no. 3, in which the same area is not having that red spot.
Now the picture lost it's life and there is no balance either. Moreover there is no Focal point also.

That is the power of Color and Composition.
