Why children enjoy painting? Why it is the best option for them to be creative?

Painting is fun to them. For children apart from a few exceptions, magic and painting are fun. Till they lose their childhood, they want to spend their time with fun. Parents will put them in arts and games to give them pleasure, but at the same time, expect them to win, to produce results in competitions of these fields. Then how can they get pleasure? Or fun?
When you don’t need to produce results from an act, only then you get real fun. From our greed and ambitions we want children to perform like adults. That way we are killing their childhood.
A great discovery of science is that, till 10 – 12 months the baby spends it’s time in a timeless universe. This means the child has no conception of time. Usually we apply this quality to only god. We generally state that God is beyond time. The child is also in the same state in its first 12 months. After that the child begins to become a part of the time. Then parents will start tuning the child according to their desires. In this process usually they will try to make the child to behave as a matured person like them. Here the child loses the fun. The child begins to think logically by parents force. So it leads to destruction of creativity.
To avoid this, parents have to put their children in a creative work, which will give them fun and allow them to think in unconventional ways. Visual thinking will help them to do this. Painting is the key to visual thinking.
Then painting is the best option for your child.
Why painting?
Every human being in this universe enjoys painting consciously or subconsciously . Because painting is nothing but playing with colors. Every body likes colors. Do you know why all of us like colors? ...Every object in this universe is recognized by color. Without colors we could not recognize any thing. We are nothing but color patches. In creating painting also, we will use color patches. We and paintings both are color patches. That’s why we like them. Because of this reason children are attracted easily to painting. And moreover it is a visual exercise also.
But here again parents are the problem. They are told by school teachers how the color applications has to be. Then parents demand the same from art schools where they joined their children. Art schools will follow that. They are not in a position to say no to the parents. They need the money that parents are paying to them. Then destruction of creativity starts.
The sad thing is most of the school teachers do not know any thing about color. But parents will listen to them. Art schools will obey them. Finally in this mindless act, children are the victims. We should not do this. Let the children enjoy the fun of playing with colors.
When they are enjoying the fun of playing with the colors, the art schools have to design their system carefully to improve children’s understanding skills. These understanding skills will come through Observation, Concentration and Struggle. Once children began to acquire these skills they will become creative. To any creative person work will become fun. Its a pleasure. With this kind of attitude, imagine how their life can be!
